Isn’t it ironic…

Isn’t it ironic that Tumblr feminists only are against rape until it’s someone that the culture at large feels deserves it?  Like that guy Jerry Sandusky?  Everyone thought it was hilarious that he might end up getting raped.

Isn’t it ironic that you have all these pro-gun advocates talking about how we need more guns everywhere, and then you have a story where some dumb bitch decides to open fire on two shoplifters in the parking lot and scaring the shit out of normal people?  Gee, maybe the solution isn’t to have more guns in the hands of the dumbest people in the general population.  People who think they’re John Wayne or Clint Eastwood.  Idiots…

Isn’t it ironic that Twitter and Tumblr feminists cry the blues about equality, yet I don’t hear one of them complaining that they don’t have to sign up to be conscripted into the next world war that this country has.  Or that you never see one of them doing working as a sewer mechanic or in a trash disposal job.  Guess equality only means something when they are talking about those big high-paying jobs.

Isn’t it ironic that these SJW types talk about not enough women in tech or engineering or stuff like that, yet when someone makes the statement – fine, then change your major to petroleum engineer – they get all butthurt?  Do they just think that a gender studies major should be paid as much as a brain surgeon?

Isn’t it ironic that the media will go so far out of their way to blame everything under the sun for a shooting, yet never will even admit that they are pretty much an accomplice to it?  After all, who wouldn’t think that if they go shoot up a school, they’ll be on the news, just like the guy who did it the other week.  How much blood is on the media’s hands, for turning these shooters into celebrities?

Isn’t it ironic that the day before America absolutely loses its shit and has people get trampled, bitten, kicked, and in some cases shot, we feast and are supposed to give thanks for what we have?  That’s actually kind of hilarious, when you think about it.  Like on Thanksgiving we lie to ourselves about being grateful, then the next day we go out and prove that we are full of shit, even to ourselves.

Isn’t it ironic how the same people who bitch about micro-transactions in video games are still going to go out and buy the games that do that?  I have no intention of giving EA and DICE a fucking Star Wars: Battlefield.  I’d called it Battlefront, but it doesn’t deserve that title.  Do gamers stand for ANYTHING?  Probably not, since people still buy Call of Duty and Assassin’s Creed every year.  Well, people who aren’t me.  I actually save my money and buy quality products, that come from companies I know and trust.  Well, okay, not all the time.  I did buy Arkham Knight, after all, and that game fucking sucked.

Isn’t it ironic how people bitch and complain about Christmas music in November, yet will still get so wrapped up in the holiday that they become a fucking loony-tune come December?  Seriously, does that one day make that much difference?  And while I’m on the subject, what is with people’s obsession with that holiday?  Don’t get me wrong, I like it, but some people go fucking nuts!

Isn’t it ironic that we have people who think that just because they own a gaming PC, that somehow elevates them above people who grew up with consoles like me?  Yes, because 60 fps makes you so damn high above the rest of us.  I’ve actually gotten experience that, you know.  The Last of Us Remastered runs at 60 fps.  It’s nice and all, but for real, the difference isn’t that amazing.  I game for story.  Where there’s a good story, you have good games.  How I wish that the Internet wasn’t so fucking immature.  Maybe then we could actually be a community that is here for love of this hobby, rather than flinging shit on everybody.

Isn’t it ironic that the women who go on big walks and write the word “slut” on their stomachs as they are out in their underwear will come down on women who do porn as demeaning women everywhere?  Cognitive dissonance is an art form, to these people.

Isn’t it ironic that the people telling others to “check their privilege” are upper-middle class suburbanites?  I mean, should I even get into how the only real privilege in this country is class privilege?  Oh, and police privilege.  They can get away with pretty much anything.

Most of all – isn’t it ironic that people still actually believe in the bullshit notion of the American Dream?

Until next time, a quote,

That’s the culmination of our war for Independence, and all the other wars that have come before and since. That’s the culmination of your civil rights movements and your struggles for equality and all that stuff. It all led up to the Sham-Wow and the iPhone. I hope you’re proud.” -TJ Kirk
