Christians Threaten to Rape a Pro-LGBT Woman

For any of you who wonder why I do what I do, and why I go so hard after the religious idiots that I find, it’s shit like this.  When I see stories like the one that I just read, I can’t help but feel more than a little bit pissed off, and have a definitive need to throw down some vengeance on these people.  If only to do it in written form.

So, a brief summary of what happened: There was a special event in Grand Rapids, Michigan, called “Gay Day.”  This was a day organized by a pro-LGBT group called Tolerance, Equality and Awareness Movement (TEAM).  Many pro-LGBT activists, along with many gays and lesbians, came out and showed their support for equality and for equal rights.  A noble cause, to be sure.

But, as with anytime that these community comes out and declares that they aren’t going to sit down and take the bullshit that Christian America throws at them, Christian America decided to come out and make themselves heard.  Here are some lovely tidbits from that interaction.

Back in the day there was no free power, there was no going to the mall.  There was, ‘sit your ass in this house until I bring my ass home.

Yeah, I have heard about that time.  It was a time when sexist assholes ruled over women and treated them like second-class citizens.  It was such a lovely time, wasn’t it?  Mind you, all of this is directed at just one woman.  But another protestor chimed in.

And if your ass get to going out there like you said, guess what?  You get raped. And that’s what’s going to happen to you. … Keep your pussy clean, that’s all you need to do. Do you understand?

Wow!  What a complete piece of shit.  Yeah, if a woman decides that she is going to be herself, assert her rights, or be pro-LGBT, she gets raped.  And all she has to do is keep her pussy clean?  What a fucking sack of useless garbage.  This person is so pathetic, such scum, and of course, he believes that God is totally behind him.  These people protesting against the pro-LGBT activists were all carrying Bibles.  That great prop that so many Americans have to justify their disgusting bigotry.  That prop that has kept so many people in fear and in danger and has justified rape to people before.  The Bible, the most destructive, morally bankrupt, socially backward book that has ever been written, and what kills me is that it is 2,000 years old, and people still follow it.  I know books that are 10 years old that people think are full of shit after they are debunked by science.  Why do they follow this 2,000 year old one that science and reason have beat to shit?

When the protestor said that “the Lord said that,” basically implying that God thinks that a woman’s only role is to keep her pussy clean, she challenges him to find a Bible verse to back that up.  Well, here is what the protestor found -

He responds with Isaiah 13: “Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished.”

First off, that isn’t even defending your position.  This story was about armies who were commanded by God to slay innocent people in his name.  More proof that God is a psychotic piece of shit.  Next, you had so many better verses to pick from.  The sexism of the Bible is all over the place.  Like how about the verse where God says that a woman should be silent in church, only asking a question when she gets home, to her husband?  Or how about the many verses saying that wives are to be subservient to their husbands?  You had so many better choices, you disgusting bastard, why choose this one?

Well, the protestor does try to justify what he said.

What does ‘ravished’ mean? It means, we going to rape your ass.  And I’m going to have fun doing that shit. And you going to like that. I promise you.

Does this person just have no conscience at all?  It’s shit like this that makes me wish that a bunch of butch women would find this guy, tie him down, fuck him repeatedly with a strap-on until he is bleeding out of his ass.  No lube, just fuck him with it.  Let him feel what it is like to get raped.  It’s shit like this that just gets on my nerves because these people can be so cavalier about raping this woman.  If only all the men who can do that would get raped themselves.  Find out how disgusting, how painful, and how mentally and emotionally destructive that can be.

The woman says that he is misinterpreting the Bible, and when he doesn’t seem to care, she hits back at him that anything she says, he won’t listen.  His reply is just as disgusting as everything else.

It’s going to matter right now.  It’s going to matter when your clothes off and I’m going inside of you repeatedly. That’s when it’s going to matter. Because you going to enjoy yourself.

So much of that Christian love and acceptance here, isn’t there?  Don’t you just feel it?  Don’t you just feel those Christians being all loving and accepting of these people?  The people who were screaming at this woman recited her boyfriend’s license plate number, promising that they were going to kill him, in addition to raping her.

The woman called 911, but they told her that there is nothing they could do.  Bullshit.  But you know what, I don’t even care about that.

God-dammit, Christians, you have a fucking obligation.  You either have to lambast these people, as I am doing, or you have to join them.  This kind of sick shit cannot be allowed to stand unaccounted for.  The problem is that because the atheist crowd gets such a bad rap in this country, the moderate Christians have no opinion, and won’t stand with us.  And with stuff like this, taking no stand is even worse, because it says that you aren’t against this.  That this kind of shit is totally fine with you.  That somebody saying that they are going to rape a woman and she will like it is just A-okay in your eyes.  NO!  You have to make yourselves heard, but I am getting tired of being one of the smaller group of people who fight against this.  This is disgusting.  Stand up, or shut up.

Banned for Talking about the Vag? REALLY?!

The world of American stupidity never ceases to amaze me sometimes.  This country has become so stupid that it is actually approaching the nirvana of idiocy.  Like we have reached some kind of stupid enlightenment.  Wanna know some examples of our stupidity?  Here are a few -

• 6 out of 10 people do not believe in the Theory of Evolution, which has a mountain of scientific evidence to back it up.
• America is 7th in literacy.
• We are 22nd in science.
• The bulk of the public does not accept the evidence for man-made climate change.
• We have absolutely castrated NASA, even though we should be leading the way for space exploration.
• Artistic people are not endorsed by this culture.
• An atheist cannot hope to get elected President of this country, because the bulk of the people in this country votes for somebody based on what fake deity they believe in.
• Most people think that contraception is somehow connected to abortion, even though it doesn’t abort anything.  It prevents the embryo from being fertilized.
• A large chunk of Americans think that it is “religious freedom” to deny women to access to contraception.
• One can’t say the word “vagina” in a House meeting without being barred from speaking.

Don’t believe the last one?  Well, let me introduce you to Rep. Lisa Brown (D).  She is the House Representative for the state of Michigan.  She comes from the suburbs of Detroit.  She was barred from speaking on the House floor because she “broke decorum” during the debate about a bill that would work to end abortion.  The language of the bill says that a doctor has to ensure some…I don’t know, group of people, that they are not going to coerce a woman into getting an abortion.  Yeah, because doctors are all just holding guns to these women’s heads and telling them to get an abortion.  Hell, they are holding the gun at their head all the time they are having it!  Yeah, that’s how abortion works in America, folks.

Thankfully, Rep. Brown saw through this, and had some choice words for to say on the House floor.

I’m flattered you’re all so concerned about my vagina. But no means no.

Can we get a round of applause for Rep. Brown?  If only more women in government would talk this way.  However, since America can’t seem to get out of the third grade, she was banned from speaking on the House floor.  Apparently, the word “vagina” is too harsh for them.

Why is America so stupid?  I really have to ask that.  I’m done being nice.  America, you are fucking stupid.  You are the stupidest bunch of imbeciles that I have seen in a long time.  Why?  I could blame the education system.  It is a complete mess that needs a lot of work.  But the fact is that if I blamed the education system, that wouldn’t fix things.  Merely would make the next generation a tad bit less dumb.

Is it the fact that they couldn’t leave the third grade?  Now, to all the Republican Representative, I just want to say, I understand how hard it can be.  Growing up is difficult.  But I think that you can handle wearing your big boy pants and going to the fourth grade.  And soon, you’ll be able to handle talking about grown-up stuff!  Doesn’t that sound like fun?!  Talking about grown-up things like grown-ups?  I think you’d like that.  I have a good feeling that one day, you’ll be able to be just like all the rest of us adults, and actually have an adult conversation.

The line that the people who banned her from speaking used was that it would offend little kids.  Well, I have just proven that they couldn’t leave the third grade, because it offended them!  You know, every time that I look around, I see this country getting stupider and stupider.  We have stupid people making all the decisions in this country.  Stupid, ignorant and hopelessly corrupt people that our public hails as so wise for voting in.

The same public who is too stupid to accept the Theory of Evolution.  The same public who is too stupid to realize that America is not the greatest country in the world.  We are a mediocre one, at best.  This public is so stupid that they don’t even have the mental fortitude enough to realize how the rich are fucking them, day in and day out.

America, you’re stupid.  You’re stupid, and you need to accept it.  You need to accept it because people like all the House members in Michigan who have barred Rep. Brown from speaking are elected by you.  Carlin was right – garbage in, garbage out.  When you have stupid people at the voting booth, you elect more stupid people.  It’s a cycle of stupidity that this country needs to shake if we are ever going to further ourselves as a country.

So the next time that I hear some slack-jawed idiot talking about how great America is, I keep in mind that this idiot probably votes.  This idiot probably is going to teach his idiot children that voting is something that is great, so long as the person that they are voting for shares their religion.  This idiot will probably say that teaching kids about sex is wrong, and that will have his kids having more kids, because they couldn’t get sex education.  This idiot will probably say that access to contraception and abortion should be cut off, because Gawd wouldn’t like it. Oh, and this idiot will probably also say that saying the word “vagina” is bad.

But worst of all, this idiot isn’t the only idiot.  This country is full of other idiots just like him.  Now there are a lot of smart people in this country, but until the culture finally comes to its senses and works to make the stupid people ashamed for being stupid, this kind of lunacy will continue forever.  America, we have to make stupid people ashamed of being stupid!  That’s it.  Embrace intelligence, or perish.

Michigan Republicans Justify Homophobic “Religious” Bigotry

There are times when a person is called-upon to examine the human race and really have to be objective about it.  They have to go above and beyond their normal level of inspection, and see certain parts of society for what they are.  There are two videos that have put something into perspective to me today.  The timing of their release is actually kind of interesting.  The first is a video that Sam Seder made on his radio show, Majority Report, about the new law that was passed in Michigan.  The other was from DPR Jones, talking about how Venom Fang X is a homophobic bigot.

Let’s cover the law first.  There is a new law that was passed in Michigan.  It is called Matt’s Safe School Law.  It is basically targeting anti-LGBT and minority bullying.  On the surface, that sounds like a wonderful thing.  However, as Christians love to say, the Devil is in the details.  Nowhere has that statement been more appropriate then here.  In this new piece of legislation, the Republican-controlled Senate of Michigan passed a referendum to the law that states that one can be allowed to bully an LGBT youth, be they students, faculty, or staff member of a school, so long as they claim religious reasons.  Listen to the language, so you know I’m not taking this out of context.  This is in the Bill itself -

This section does not prohibit the statement of a sincerely held religious belief, or moral conviction of a school employee, school volunteer, pupil, or pupil’s parent or guardian.”

Did you get all that?!  This law has literally said that a kid, or even a teacher, can say that your child is a fag or something, and as long as they have ”a sincerely held religious belief,” then that is okay.  May I ask you something, Michigan

Republicans – what the fuck is wrong with you?!  You are not only saying that it is okay for a student to be a bully, but you are giving license to teachers?!  This is evil.  This is pure, unadulterated evil.  This is like strangling puppies while eating kitten for breakfast evil!

Is the Republican Party now so desperate for Tea Party votes that they support any insane thing that these egomaniacal assholes want?  Really, does the need to get reelected trump what morality that you have?  This is beyond immoral.  This is a decision that is so foul that it honestly should be jumped on by the entire bandwagon of the entire country.  For real, people need to start sending in letters, emails, phone calls, faxes.  However you can get the message to these scum that their actions here are going to have a far worse consequence, and are going to reach much farther than the schools of Michigan.

Now, a favorite YouTube Vlogger of mine, called Grappling Ignorance, put up a post saying that this is not going to be as bad as it sounds like.  I want to believe it, GI, I really do.  But I see humanity for what it really is – a bunch of ravenous animals who destroy everything that they come into contact with.  Humanity is its own worst enemy, and the few times that we are able to rise above these urges, I feel a little bit of hope for the human race.  But only a little bit.

This brings me to DPR Jones and his post.  He was making a response to the joke video he made to Venom Fang X, saying that he is gay.  It was a funny video, and I happened to enjoy it.  But this response took a long and hard look at the fact that Venom Fang X is part of a movement of Christianity that I believe is infinitely more dangerous than groups like the Westboro Baptist Church.

Venom Fang X is part of a group of people who believe, as DPR Jones put it -

1. Homosexuality is a sin.

2. You can’t be born again if gay.

3. Salvation through accepting Jesus as your savior.

So yeah, these are the people who are the real enemy, as I see it.  And the worst part is that, as we have seen with Michigan, these people have real power in government.  These people have the power to make decisions that can affect the future generations, and the current students.  These people have the power to make life living hell for those who are in school, and while GI may believe that there is a silver lining, I am much more skeptical.

I believe that a Michigan senator named Gretchen Witmer should have her voice heard on here.  Here is what she had to say about this -

I personally have had some pretty hard days in this senate, in this term.  Whether it was what happened with the School Aid Fund, or raising pension taxes, or the continued assault on the middle class, I think this is my lowest point personally.  Because here today, you’re claim to be protecting kids, and you’re actually putting them in more danger.  There’re at least ten Michigan children, in the past decade, whose deaths are directly attributeable to bullying.  I have their names and their ages here, but I can’t read ‘em.  I think they’ve been too victimized as it is.  But had this bill that you’re gonna pass today been law in effect while they were alive, how many of their deaths would have been prevented?!  ZERO!  You may be able to pat yourselves on the backs today and say that you did something.  But in actuality, you’re explicitedly outlining how to get away with bullying!  Your exceptions have swallowed the rule.
As passed today, bullying kids is okay if a student, parent, teacher, or school employee can come up with a moral or religious reason for doing it.  You’ve set us back farther, creating a blueprint for bullying.  So this might solve a political problem that the Republicans have, but be clear, you are papering over that is a reality faced by hundreds of kids in Michigan schools every day.  In fact, not only does this not protect kids who are being bullied, it furthers endangers them by legitimizing excuses for tormenting a student.  And the saddest, and sickest irony of this whole thing, is that it’s called Matt’s Safe School Law.  And after the way that you’ve gutted it, it wouldn’t have done a damn thing to save Matt!”

I really have nothing more to say.  Really, that’s it.  Witmer said it better than I could have hoped to.  And with that said,  I think I’ll close this down.  Here is my message – never has religious bigotry sounded so good!
